Remake of Rap/Fundraising for our Projects/Blue Iguana sponsorship/Blue Dragon Programme

Cheyenne, Nikita and Marlon went to visit Moses' Recording Studio with Mrs Whitehead for a refix of their Float Parade Rap. This was after much practice and we are proud to say we now have a "Recycle Da Vision Refix"

Fund Raising

We have been very busy raising funds for our two Seacology Projects and our Grand Cayman Baby Blue Iguana Project.  We have started to do Beach Clean Ups around the island and in return we are very kindly being sponsored by the public.

Congratulations goes to Catherine Welds who collected over CI$500 in one day!  Melissa Smith and other John Gray Recyclers also went out there and fund raised and should be congratulated on their wonderful efforts.

Baby Blue Iguana Sponsorship - The highlight of our week was a second talk on the Baby Blue Iguanas and the Blue Dragon Programme by Dr Mat Cottam, at the National Trust. We were able to present Dr Cottam with CI$750 which we had managed to fund raise to name and sponsor a Baby Blue iguana for one year. Nikita, Chantal and Cathrine chose the name "Quincy" for our little iguana who has only three legs but is still very robust and healthy. Quincy was off island on tour and was unable to attend the presentation but a wonderful time was had by all the students.

Thank you very much Dr Cottam from the John Gray Recyclers for a wonderful talk and discussion time afterwards.
