W E E K  R E V I E W 15 - 19 September 2003

What a busy week!

SIX-PACK RECYCLING - Melissa (Smith) and Nikita brought in loads of plastic six-pack holders which started Shawn on his update of his Excel Worksheet Information on Plastic Six-Pack holder collection.

OUR BLOG - Tracy (Ross) and Mrs Whitehead started working on our Blog

OUR RAP SONG - Gary directed Nikita and Melissa (Smith) with their song. It sounded brilliant!

NEW RECRUITS - We recruited 25 new recruits from year 10 at the Club Fair

RECYCLING PLAN FOR YEAR AT SCHOOL - Melissa (Brown) and Melissa (Smith) have their heads together on this one!

LEBANON - We were very excited because we have heard from Nessrine in Lebanon. He is the school co-ordinator of a very famous magazine. Shawn and Mrs Whitehead spent some lunchtimes looking at the website and Nikita, Melissa and Gary joined us at breaktimes. We learned so much about Lebanon and their wonderful culture and beautiful Country.

On Friday we heard that Nessrine had spoken with Mr Saab and that we now have a link to us from their magazine and Mr Saab has asked Nessrine to write a short article on the John Gray Recyclers for their wonderful magazine! You can find out more about Mr Saab who is very famous by looking at our Environmental Links Page on our website.

BELIZE - A new Year 10 recruit came in on Friday lunchtime and showed Mrs Whitehead her school in Belize (Google search). She is returning on Monday and we plan to contact her school for more recruits in Belize.

... These are just some of the things we did in our Environmental Club. For more information come to room 27 if you go to our school or contact us by email if you are out there in the Community or from another country.
